VIVI MAILUND fremstiller håndvævede, upcyclede og eksklusive boligtekstiler i Danmark. Produkterne designes og fremstilles af tekstildesigner Vivi Mailund på eget værkstedet i Århus C.
Tekstilerne fremstilles af overskudsgarner fra den danske strikindustri. Overskudsgarnerne består af alverdens farver og kvaliteter. Designet er udviklet således at alle garner kan kombineres og anvendes i vævningen. Væven sættes op med de udvalgte garner og fremstilles herefter manuelt. Det færdige tekstil efterbehandles, klippes og syes. Hele fremstillingsprocessen tager udgangspunkt i Zero Waste princippet hvor intet stof går til spilde.

VIVI MAILUND produces handwoven, upcycled and exclusive living room textiles in Denmark. The products are designed and produced by textile designer Vivi Mailund at her workshop in Århus C.
The textiles are made of leftover yarns from the Danish knitting industry. The leftover yarns consist of different colors and qualities. The design is developed so that all the yarns can be combined and used in the weavings. The loom is set up with the chosen yarns and the weaving is produced manually. The finished textile is then cut and sewn together. The fundamental basis for the whole process is the principle of Zero Waste where no fabric goes to waste.
