Under sin uddannelse bemærkede hun, at mange kulturer havde en varierende tilknytning til tøj. Hun blev mere og mere interesseret i, hvordan tøj er repræsenteret af mennesker og vice versa. Aleur is a Montréal-based loungewear clothing company created by Alexandra Watson. Each item is handmade with locally sourced overstock fabric. Sustainability and quality are key factors in the production of the brand. Alexandra was born in Waterloo, Ontario and graduated in 2014 with a BA in Anthropology. Throughout her degree, she noticed that many cultures had a varying affiliation with clothing. She became increasingly interested in how clothing is represented by humans and vice-versa. From observing new cultures, she became enthralled with the actual fabrication of garments and began working as a fashion design assistant with local designers in London. There she learned essential British pattern drafting and construction techniques. Deeply inspired by her surroundings and anthropological research, she moved back to Canada to launch Aleur. Now in montréal, Alexandra strives to create luxurious loungewear with exceptional quality and ethical manufacturing. You can finally shop guilt-free and invest in your own comfort. The Aleur mission is to give women a secure sense of self in functional, sustainable clothing.
