La Regina Collagista creates poetic, modern vintage collages with a surrealistic twist.
Denmark based Czech-German collage artist Klara Espersen loved to collect vintage paper and interesting pictures already as a child, because she had an incontrollable urge to save things, that she could see a special inherent beauty in. Over the years, her collection has grown into a treasure chest filled with old books, magazines and photographs found on her many travels.
Equipped with scissors, glue and great patience, Klara composes her hand cut collages portraying a dreamlike world beyond time, space and gravity.
