Maria-Therese Grant received her master’s in architecture from Aarhus School of Architecture. Currently working as an architect, but also has a passion for crafting and
playing with imagery which are turned into collages & illustrations. The work centers around architecture, fashion, film and art.
Maria-Therese is an architect and works with found imagery, which is consumed and reproduced in new forms and compositions. The work explores the body of architecture, film, fashion, people, objects, scenes, and atmospheres. The imagery is decomposed and reborn into new scenes, staging an atmosphere or new composition, where each collage shows a setting, which playfully tells a new story. With her work within architecture, the outlines of a building or a room is the setting. Likewise, each act of creating a collage is a transformation of existing structures. She has made collages since childhood. Creating them was a lightful way of staging and creating aesthetic atmospheres. Creating one owns beauty.
