As a biologist and self-taught illustrator, Sissel Geyti is fascinated by nature, and the biology is clearly reflected in her images, which always consist of elements from nature. The pictures are usually detailed images of black finelines on white paper, while other images mainly consists of watercolor and colored pencil.
Often, there is an element of fairytales or surreal stories in her images. In combination with the biology, it is her intention to create amazement and joy in nature and our own imagination.
